Candles can improve your photographs!

Candles will add feelings of warmth and romance to your ceremony and reception.  Lighted candles will also add sparkle and warmth to all of your photographs.  Everyone (except maybe the fire department) love candles.  Here are a few suggestions about candles based on thee decades of wedding experience.
Always bring a second set of candles for the candelabras at the front of the church.  They will burn down enough during the photography before the ceremony, that the second set should replace those that have been burned.  If you are using the candles that are oil filled, refill the oil as needed before your guests arrive.  If you are using the metal candles that burn a small spring loaded wax candle insert, be sure to replace the inserts as they often will not light a second time (even if most of the insert has not yet burned.)  Have you ever been to a wedding where one half of the candles just will not light for the start of the ceremony?  It happens all of the time!
After the ceremony the candelabras can be taken to the reception and they will make a great background behind the wedding cake.  Do keep them away from the dance floor for safety sake.  Just one more hint.  Some time before the big day, burn your unity candle for just a few minutes to be sure that it will light during the ceremony.
